Director of Development
Ellett Toomey joined the Fight For Children team in April 2014 as Director of Development where she is responsible for raising funds from individuals, foundations, corporations, and government to support Fight For Children’s early childhood programs.
Previously, Ms. Toomey served as Director of Campaign and Development Strategy at the American Enterprise Institute, a private, nonpartisan, not-for-profit institution dedicated to policy research and education. She holds her Bachelor of Arts from University of Virginia, Master of Arts in Teaching from University of Virginia, and her Master of Business Administration from Georgetown University.
Ms. Toomey and her husband enjoy living in Washington, DC with their one-year old son, Cole. When she’s not waking up at 4am for playtime, she loves running, cooking, and hosting parties! She is also an active volunteer at Compass, a group that engages business professionals as consultants for local nonprofits.
